The AUXCOMM team at the Washington State EOC hosts a series of EOC-to-EOC communications exercises. Exercises take place on a quarterly basis on the fifth Saturday of the month and a Simulated Emergency Test (SET) in the fall of each year. Dates are listed below with links to the scenarios when available.
Any published plans are available by clicking the link next to the exercise date above. There is a standing ICS-215 used by the state EMD AUXCOMM team that should be used for planning.
The latest information and questions can be found at the EOC Communications-WA State Emergency Management Groups.io reflector.
This reflector will serve as:
The centralized location for file sharing and for the distribution of information between WA EMD/ Camp Murray and Tribal, County and Jurisdictional emergency communications leadership and management as it relates to auxiliary radio communications/ emergency radio communications.
The location where emergency communications agencies serving within FEMA Region X, the western US and PNEMA can see what is happening in Washington State relative to auxiliary radio communications emergency preparedness and exercises.
This group is limited to:
Emergency management and designated personnel.
Emergency communications unit leaders (COMLs of served agencies and designated assistants).
VOAD communications unit leadership associated with recognised agencies.
Subgroups will include additional communications coordination and communication in support of this mission.
Admission to this reflector and the files shared are not for the general public and applications to this reflector will be limited to emergency communications leadership.
It is expected that the conversation on this reflector will maintain a professional demeanour and respect, both for our mission and for others serving in leadership roles.
We look forward to receiving feedback from around the state to understand the needs and concerns of all teams providing amateur emergency communications in Washington State.
